We took a session at Beirut Design Week on a tension we argue about internally: can artwork be beautiful and still be correct at the press?

The short answer is yes, but not by luck. Craft earns the eye. Production discipline gets it printed. The prettiest file and the one that presses cleanly usually differ in the parts nobody sees, the bleed, the dielines and the colour build.

We walked through three real projects, including one that printed badly the first time, and showed the preflight decisions behind each.

The room pushed back hardest on colour on press, which was the point. Slides are shared on request.
